Kelly Bolles has a Biology Degree and graduated from Seattle University, and his wife Judy has a Business Degree and graduated from Griffin Business College.
Kelly runs the farm operation daily and Judy is a Vendor at Microsoft. Kelly and Judy went to Bellevue High School together. It wasn't until 30 years later that they met and got married in 2004.
The farm has been Certified Organic since 1997. We have never used any pesticides at our farm. The only pest issue is snails. Don't be frightened if you come across one while U-Picking!
We hire many people during the berry season and really appreciate all the help. We couldn't do it without them.
Company history
As many of you know we were hit really hard by the November 2006 flood. We lost all of our crops, along with being displaced from our home. We still are not back in our house but the raspberries and strawberris have been replanted and are looking very good. We planted a acre of strawberris!
New this year we have also planted hazelnut trees and their roots have been inoculated with the French Black Perigold truffle. This is a retirement project - it will take 5-7 years before truffles are produced. We are very excited about this.
